Receta Best Homemade Teriyaki Sauce

Try this fresh twist by adding beer which will result in a full flavored Homemade Teriyaki Sauce.

For some reason, May has been a month of unusual weather. One day it’s warm and the next cold and windy. One can hardly keep up in the sweater department.

We had a few good warm weather days, which I adore, and some downright nasty windy days too.

On one of those days, when you don’t even want to venture outside, I was in the mood for spending the entire day cooking it up in the kitchen.

They hubby, who, as you all know can be a picky eater. He knows what he likes and doesn’t venture out too much from what’s comfortable to him.

One of his all-time favorite sauces is teriyaki sauce. I decided that I would try to make a homemade version. My hopes were to get it as close to his liking as possible. After a few spoon taste testing with the expert we were both pleased with the results.

I took it one step further. Did you know that May 28th is National Hamburger Day? Come back on the 28th to see how I put this homemade teriyaki sauce to good use.

1 cup soy sauce 8 ounces Sapporo Beer 2 tablespoons sweet rice wine 4 tablespoons Splenda brown sugar blend 1 Tablespoon honey 1 garlic clove, minced 1½ teaspoons prepared fresh ginger

Heat the soy sauce, beer, sweet rice wine, brown sugar, garlic clove and fresh ginger in a small saucepan over moderately high heat. When the mixture reaches a simmer, bring the heat down to low and allow to reduce for 10 minutes, until the sauce reduces by about half. Transfer to a small bowl; mixture will thicken as it cools. Note: If you'd like it thicker, for it to resemble much more like a glaze, pour a tablespoon of the mixture into a small bowl. Add a teaspoon of arrowroot to the small bowl and whisk until it completely dissolves. Add the corn starch mixture to the teriyaki sauce, whisking until dissolved. 3.3.3070
