Ingredientes

  • 2 lbs. ground chuck
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1/3 cup chopped red pepper
  • 1/3 cup chopped green pepper
  • 3 TBSP chopped parsley
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 1/4 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 1/4 tsp. dried sage
  • 1 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2/3 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 4 strips bacon
  • Sauce ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup chopped canned tomatoes
  • 2 TBSPS brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Direcciones

  1. In a large bowl, combine the first 10 ingredients.
  2. Combine the milk, eggs and Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Mix into the beef mixture.
  4. Add the bread crumbs.
  5. Grease a large sheet of aluminum foil.
  6. Place bacon strips on the foil.
  7. Mould the meat mixture into a loaf and place over the bacon.
  8. Seal the foil tightly around the loaf.
  9. Refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight.
  10. Heat oven to 350 degrees
  11. Place the wrapped loaf on a baking sheet.
  12. Bake for 1 hour.
  13. Carefully open the foil and drain the juices.
  14. Combine the sauce ingredients and spoon over the loaf.
  15. Bake uncovered 30 minutes longer
