- In large bowl, mash beans till most are smooth, leaving some intact. Add in onion, bell pepper, jalapeno pepper, cumin, sesame seeds, lime juice, salt and pepper; mix well. Divide mix into 8 equal patties about 3-1/2 inches in diameter. In large heavy frypan, heat oil over medium-low heat.
- Cook patties, in batches, for 8-10 min or possibly till lightly browned, tuning once and adding more oil if necessary. Carefully remove burgers from frypan to platter and tent with foil. Let stand 5 min before serving.
- Makes 8 burgers.
