Ingredientes

  • 1 x onion, minced
  • 1 x green pepper, diced
  • 1/3 c. water
  • 15 ounce black beans, liquid removed and rinsed
  • 8 ounce tomato sauce
  • 1/4 c. quick-cooking oatmeal
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1/2 Tbsp. prepared mustard
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp chili pwdr
  • 6 whl wheat buns

Direcciones

  1. Place on ion and bell pepper in a saucepan with the water. Cook, stirring frequently, till the vegetables soften, about 5 min. Meanwhile, mash the beans with a bean or possibly potato masher (don't use a food processor). Add in the beans and remaining ingredients except the buns. Cook over low heat till heated through, about 5 min. Serve on the buns with your choice of accompaniments, such as onions, tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, mustard, and ketchup.
