Receta BLACK MIDNIGHT CAKE

Posted on October 26, 2016 by The Southern Lady in Cakes This Black Midnight Cake is easy to make and tastes wonderful. You can use your favorite frosting or just sprinkle with powdered sugar. It would be a good cake to decorate for Halloween. If you like chocolate, you will love this cake. 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 3/4 cup 100% cocoa (You can use dark chocolate cocoa if you want this really black) 1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda 3/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon baking powder 1 1/2 cups sugar 3/4 cup butter or 12 tablespoons, softened 2 eggs 3/4 cup water 3/4 cup black coffee 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Whisk together the flour, cocoa, baking soda, salt and baking in a bowl. Set aside. Cream the sugar, butter and eggs in a large bowl using mixer. Add flour mixture to creamed mixture along with water, coffee and vanilla extract. Mix with mixer. Spray a 9 x 13 baking pan with cooking spray, add cake batter and bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 40 to 45 minutes until center tests done. Makes 1 cake. You can add the glaze below or frost with your favorite frosting. Enjoy Glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar 2 to 3 tablespoons milk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, (optional) Mix together with wire whisk and sprinkle over cooled cake.
