Receta Black Sesame Cream Jelly
by Anncoo

I bought this book Okashi sweet treats made with love by the author Keiko Ishiha at Kinokuniya Book Store at 20% storewide for all books and I would like to recommend this book to anyone who has a love of baking that I am sure many bloggers already got this book :) There are many simple and interesting recipes with step by step pictures, concise information on baking techniques and useful tips. I have bookmarked many recipes in this book that I am going to try it out one by one. The first recipe I chose is a cool dessert Black Sesame Cream Jelly (western pastries with a Japanese touch), the texture of this dessert is very smooth with a strong flavor of black sesame in it and I have made this twice in one week ;D

Here is the recipe

Method:

In a small bowl combine some milk (from 300g) with sesame paste and mix well.

Then combine balance milk, sesame paste and sugar in a small saucepan and bring to a boil.

Add in softened gelatin sheets follow by whipping cream. Mix well.

Pass the mixture through a sift (this is an extra step I've made because there is a thin layer of oil on top of the mixture) into 4 - 6 small cups and chill in the refrigerator until set.

Compare to the picture of Okashi the dessert has a beautiful greyish white color but my black sesame cream jelly is very dark grey in color maybe I've used the different brand of black sesame paste and this is the only brand I can find here.

Enjoy!

I am very honored to receive this Lovely Blog Award from My Little Sweet House. Thank you for considering me for this award.
