Blanched Greens In Oyster Sauce

Ingredientes

  • 3/4 pound mustard greens, asparagus or possibly Chinese cabbage stalks
  • 6 c. water to blanch vegetables
  • 6 tbsp. oyster sauce
  • 3 teaspoon sugar

Direcciones

  1. Blanch greens in about 6 c. of boiling water for a few min, till just cooked or possibly when greens turn a darker color. Remove and cold under tap water. Drain. Cut stalks into 2 to 3 inch lengths and arrange on serving platter. Dissolve sugar in oyster sauce. Re-heat vegetables (20 seconds in a microwave) and pour oyster sauce mix over them. Serve immediately.
  2. VARIATION: Wrap greens in plastic wrap and place in microwave oven, 4 min at high heat. Remove and cold under tap water. Follow directions as above.
