,%20while%20I%20get%20ready%20the%20rest%20of%20the%20wet%20ingredients.%20I%20handed%20the%20ingredients%20one%20by%20one%20to%20my%20sous%20chef%20as%20he%20mixed%20it%20all%20up%20in%20a%20bowl.%20Then%20it%20was%20the%20grand%20finale%20of%20pouring%20all%20the%20liquid%20mixture%20(I%20couldn't%20help%20but%20to%20agree%20with%20him%20that%20the%20mixture%20did%20look%20terribly%20awful%20at%20this%20stage)%20to%20the%20dry%20mixture%20and%20with%20only%20a%20few%20quick%20stir%20it%20was%20done.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAfter%20cleaning%20up%20the%20mess,%20I%20was%20left%20alone%20to%20cook%20the%20pancakes.%20I%20got%20lazy%20this%20time%20and%20didn't%20bother%20to%20brush%20the%20frying%20pan%20with%20melted%20butter.%20I%20thought%20it%20was%20really%20not%20necessary...what%20difference%20would%20it%20made?%20So%20I%20took%20the%20short%20cut%20by%20pouring%20some%20vegetable%20oil%20into%20the%20pan%20and%20simply%20swirl%20it%20around.%20The%20cooked%20pancakes%20didn't%20turn%20out%20as%20well%20compared%20to%20those%20I%20made%20on%20my%20maiden%20attempt,%20the%20surface%20was%20not%20evenly%20browned.%20It%20could%20also%20due%20to%20the%20temperature%20of%20my%20pan...I%20am%20just%20bad%20at%20anything%20that%20has%20got%20to%20do%20with%20the%20stove!%20The%20resulting%20pancakes%20looked%20more%20like%20roti%20pratas%20to%20me!%20%E5%9B%A7%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDespite%20the%20appearance,%20these%20pancakes%20were%20actually%20very%20delicious,%20especially%20with%20the%20homemade%20blueberry%20sauce%20which%20I%20made%20the%20night%20before.%20The%20pancakes%20were%20quite%20light%20and%20fluffy,%20but%20I%20would%20prefer%20a%20slightly%20thicker%20sauce.%20Maybe%20I%20didn't%20cook%20it%20long%20enough,%20or%20there%20was%20just%20too%20much%20water...even%20though%20I%20have%20already%20reduced%20the%20amount.%20I%20do%20like%20the%20hint%20of%20tangy%20flavour%20of%20the%20sauce%20though,%20and%20it%20was%20not%20overly%20sweet.%20My%20family%20members%20are%20a%20forgiving%20lot...they%20enjoyed%20the%20pancakes%20and%20there%20wasn't%20a%20single%20word%20of%20complaints.%20Even%20my%20tween%20who%20doesn't%20really%20care%20for%20pancakes%20was%20nodding%20with%20approval%20over%20his%20breakfast.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThat%20night,%20my%20boys%20and%20I%20curled%20up%20in%20front%20of%20the%20tv%20to%20watch%20our%20current%20favourite%20Korean%20drama:%20Boys%20over%20Flowers%20(%E8%8A%B1%E6%A0%B7%E7%94%B7%E5%AD%90).%20I%20was%20watching%20with%20great%20envy%20when%20Ji%20Hoo%20(%E6%99%BA%E5%8E%9A)%20made%20some%20pancakes%20for%20Jan%20Di%20(%E4%B8%9D%E8%8D%89).%20He%20has%20finally%20perfected%20his%20pancakes.%20In%20the%20very%201st%20episode%20of%20this%20drama,%20Ji%20Hoo%20has%20asked%20Jan%20Di%20if%20she%20knows%20how%20to%20make%20hotcakes.%20She%20told%20him%20they%20were%20made%20with%20some%20flour%20and%20eggs,%20add%20milk%20and%20sugar.%20In%20the%202nd%20episode,%20he%20asked%20her%20if%20anything%20else%20was%20left%20out%20because%20his%20pancakes%20didn't%20rise.%20She%20told%20him%20he%20needs%20to%20add%20baking%20powder.%20I%20also%20found%20it%20amusing%20when%20he%20added%20that%20pancake%20premixes%20are%20actually%20available.%20Hmmm...I%20am%20not%20sure%20whether%20he%20used%20a%20pancake%20premix%20or%20the%20pancakes%20were%20made%20from%20scratch.%20But%20his%20pancakes%20looked%20perfect%20and%20delicious....urghmm...just%20before%20they%20were%20drenched%20with%20lots%20of%20maple%20syrup!%20%5E%5E%22'%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBlueberry%20Pancakes%20with%20Blueberry%20Sauce%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E(makes%20about%208%20pancakes)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Efor%20the%20pancakes:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMethod:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETo%20make%20blueberry%20sauce:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPlace%20blueberries,%20water,%20sugar,%20salt,%20lemon%20zest%20(if%20using)%20and%20lemon%20juice%20in%20a%20saucepan.%20Bring%20the%20mixture%20to%20a%20boil%20over%20medium%20heat.%20Let%20the%20mixture%20continues%20to%20boil%20for%20another%205%20minutes.%20Add%20the%20cornstarch%20mixture%20and%20continue%20to%20boil%20till%20the%20mixture%20thickens.%20Set%20aside%20to%20cool,%20cover%20and%20refrigerate.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETo%20make%20pancakes:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESieve%20flour,%20baking%20powder,%20baking%20soda%20and%20salt%20into%20a%20mixing%20bowl.%20Toss%20in%20the%20blueberries.%20In%20a%20separate%20bowl%20whisk%20together%20the%20egg,%20sugar,%20yoghurt,%20milk,%20oil%20and%20vanilla%20extract.%20Add%20the%20liquid%20mixture%20to%20the%20flour%20mixture,%20all%20at%20once.%20With%20a%20manual%20whisk,%20whisk%20the%20mixture%20until%20just%20combined%20(when%20the%20flour%20'disappears').%20The%20batter%20may%20have%20some%20small%20lumps%20but%20Do%20Not%20over%20mix%20the%20batter%20or%20the%20pancakes%20will%20be%20tough.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHeat%20a%20frying%20pan%20over%20medium%20to%20low%20heat.%20Using%20a%20pastry%20brush,%20brush%20the%20pan%20with%20a%20little%20melted%20butter%20or%20oil.%20Pour%20about%201/4%20c
