You know you're eating a tin of sardines; the fish flavor is prominent, yet, not overpowering, no lingering after taste. Salt is detectable in this tin. Patches of scales remain on the fish. They are detectable while eating. A meaty fish, a clean-tasting fish. One little chili pepper rests at the bottom of the tin. A faint heat slowly creeps up as you eat these; it also disappears as quick as it emerged, adding a nice flavor to the fish. A roe-filled fish. Roe not noticeable. No strong taste or after taste. A mild-tasting oil. I would eat again 4 1/2 Sardine's
