Ingredientes

  • 3 c. self-rising flour
  • 3 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 2 teaspoon confectioners sugar
  • 1/2 c. solid vegetable shortening
  • 1 1/4 c. buttermilk
  • 1/4 c. melted butter

Direcciones

  1. Stir the flour, baking pwdr, and sugar together. Cut in the shortening till pcs are about the size of grains of rice; stir in buttermilk. Knead a few times; roll out onto a floured board to 3/4-inch thickness. (Be careful not to work dough too much or possibly add in too much flour or possibly you'll have dry biscuits.)
  2. Brush the tops of biscuits with the melted butter. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12 min in a preheated 450 degree oven. Makes 12 biscuits.
