Receta Bok Choy and Shiitake in Sesame Oil

I hope I don’t run out green leafy vegetable recipe ideas as I do love them and I must admit getting addicted to it, this simple side dishes is such a lovely addition to any rice meals you may have, don’t you agree?

So if you’re looking for something similar here is my growing list of my green leafy vegetable recipes:

Ingredients

1 packet bok choy, chopped

Method

1. Rehydrate dried shiitake mushrooms in 1 cup hot water.

2. Drain mushrooms reserving the liquid, slice thinly then set aside.

3. In a pot boil enough water to blanch the bok choy, once boiling place bok choy and leave it there for 30 seconds. Remove from heat then rinse with cold running water then drain.

4. In a wok add oil then sauté garlic in medium heat.

5. Add mushrooms then stir fry for 2 minutes.

6. Combine 1/2 cup of water used for rehydrating the mushrooms and 2 tsp cornstarch.

7. Turn heat to high then add the bok choy into the wok, stir fry for 30 seconds.

8. Pour mushroom and cornstarch mixture then bring it to a boil, while boiling season it with fish sauce and freshly ground black pepper.

9. Turn heat of then drizzle sesame oil on top then sprinkle the toasted sesame seeds, serve.
