Bottle Gourd (Sorakkai/Lauki) Kheer Recipe
Ingredients:
- Bottle Gourd (Sorakkai/Lauki) – 1 cup, grated
- Milk – 1 litre
- Sugar – 1 1/2 cups
- Ghee – 2 tblsp
- Cashewnuts – few
- Raisins – few
- Badam (Almond) Powder – 1 tblsp
Method:
1. Keep the grated bottle gourd aside for 10 minutes and drain the water.
2. Boil the milk and add the grated bottle gourd.
3. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
4. Add sugar, almond powder and mix well.
5. Fry the cashewnuts and raisins in little ghee.
6. Add to the kheer.
7. Gently mix well and serve.
