Braised Pork Chops

Ingredientes

  • 4 x Pork chops, each weighing about 200g (7oz)
  • 2 Tbsp. Plain flour
  • 3 Tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 lrg Onion, sliced
  • 200 ml Passata, (7 fl ounce)
  • 175 ml Dry red wine, (6 fl ounce) Salt and pepper

Direcciones

  1. Coat the chops lightly with the flour.
  2. Heat the oil in a large, deep saucepan and fry the onion for about 5 min or possibly till just soft and lightly golden brown.
  3. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Add in the chops and cook for about 3 min on each side to seal them.
  5. Pour over the passata and wine and boil off the alcohol.
  6. Reduce the heat and simmer, uncovered, for 20-25 min or possibly till the chops are tender. Serve immediately.
