%20while%20shopping%20at%20my%20local%20meat%20market.%20Short%20ribs%20were%20on%20sale%20so%20I%20grabbed%20some.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20is%20a%202%20part%20recipe,%20it%20takes%202%20days%20to%20make%20it,%20but%20it%20is%20oh%20so%20worth%20it.%20The%20recipe%20I%20came%20across%20in%20a%20food%20magazine%20last%20year.%20I%20get%20so%20many,%20I%20can't%20remember%20if%20it%20was%20Food%20&%20Wine,%20Savuer,%20etc.%20It%20was%20from%20Tom%20Colicchio%20who%20I%20love%20to%20watch%20on%20Top%20Chef.%20I%20did%20make%20a%20few%20changes%20to%20the%20origional%20recipe%20(I'm%20just%20not%20a%20fan%20of%20celery)%20here%20is%20my%20take%20on%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPart%201:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eingredients:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMethod:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESeason%20ribs%20with%20salt%20and%20pepper.%20Heat%20a%20large%20skillet%20over%20medium%20high%20heat%20and%20add%20a%20little%20oil%20to%20the%20pan.%20Sear%20the%20ribs%20on%20all%20sides.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20yummy.%20As%20they%20are%20seared%20place%20them%20in%20a%20shallow%20baking%20dish.%20Don't%20crowd%20the%20pan,%20just%20take%20your%20time%20and%20do%20just%20a%20few%20at%20a%20time.%20While%20those%20are%20working%20take%20care%20of%20your%20veggies.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhen%20your%20ribs%20are%20all%20done%20toss%20your%20veggies%20in%20the%20pan%20and%20saute%20till%20they%20are%20just%20tender.%20Don't%20forget%20to%20toss%20in%20your%20thyme%20sprigs.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Esmells%20wonderful.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThen%20add%20your%20wine.%20This%20weekend%20I%20am%20using:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt's%20pretty%20tasty.%20I%20took%20a%20little%20sip%20while%20I%20was%20cooking.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%20was%20on%20sale%20this%20week%20at%20my%20local%20grocery%20store,%20$6%20a%20bottle.%20Now%20the%20last%20couple%20times%20I%20have%20made%20this%20I%20have%20used%20the%20Fish%20Eye%20Cab.%20and%20it%20was%20really%20good%20too.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20whole%20bottle%20to%20the%20pan,%20and%20bring%20it%20to%20a%20boil.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow%20this%20REALLY%20smells%20good.%20I%20let%20it%20boil%20for%20a%20few%20minutes%20&%20the%20veggies%20start%20to%20turn%20purple%20from%20the%20wine.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20forgot%20to%20mention%20too%20that%20the%20thyme%20came%20from%20my%20cute%20little%20herb%20garden%20out%20in%20the%20back%20yard.%20The%20heat%20has%20really%20taken%20it's%20toll%20on%20the%20oregano,%20basil%20and%20tarragon,%20but%20the%20thyme%20and%20rosemary%20is%20doing%20ok.%20(%20I%20am%20so%20ready%20for%20some%20cold%20weather!)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERibs%20in%20the%20pan...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20the%20veggie%20and%20wine%20mixture%20to%20the%20ribs.%20Allow%20it%20to%20cool%20completely%20then%20cover%20and%20place%20in%20the%20fridge%20over%20night.%20You%20can%20also%20keep%20this%20in%20the%20fridge%20for%20up%20to%202%20days%20before%20going%20to%20the%20next%20step.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20have%20prepped%20this%20today%20(Saturday)%20for%20Monday%20night's%20dinner%20so%20check%20back%20to%20see%20Part%202!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
