Ingredientes

  • 4 x fresh bratwurst - (1 lb)
  • 1 bot beer - (12 ounce)
  • 1 c. minced onion
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 lb fresh sauerkraut rinsed, and fully liquid removed
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 4 x flour tortillas - (10" dia)
  • 1/4 c. honey-Dijon mustard
  • 4 slc smoked Swiss cheese

Direcciones

  1. Place bratwurst and beer in medium saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 10 min. Remove from heat; let bratwurst cold in beer.
  2. In 10-inch frying pan cook onion in oil over medium heat till browned, 8 to 10 min. Add in sauerkraut, sugar, salt, and red pepper; mix well. Continue cooking for 5 min to blend flavors.
  3. Place bratwurst in center of cooking grate. Grill 5 to 6 min or possibly till browned and heated throughout, turning once halfway through grilling time. Split each in half lengthwise.
  4. Place 1/4 of sauerkraut mix down center of each tortilla. Place 2 bratwurst halves on top of filling. Spread 1 Tbsp. mustard on bratwurst and top with a slice of cheese. Fold two sides of tortilla over cheese; fold remaining bottom and top halves of tortilla to close.
  5. Place tortilla wraps flap-side down on grill; grill 3 to 4 min or possibly till browned and heated through, turning once halfway through grilling time.
  6. This recipe yields 4 servings.
