Ingredientes

  • 2 c. heavy cream
  • 2 c. lowfat milk
  • 3 strips orange peel
  • 3 to 4 slices day old French bread
  • Butter
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 3 whole Large eggs
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 tbsp. Grand Marnier

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a saucepan, heat the cream, lowfat milk and orange peel to a boil. Remove from heat and let cold. Beat Large eggs, yolks and sugar to light lemon color. Add in Grand Marnier and slowly add in the cream mix and blend. Remove orange peel and pour custard into a 2 qt baking dish. Trim crust from bread and butter one side. Float the bread, buttered side up on top of the custard.
  2. Place the dish in a larger pan and pour boiling water half way up the sides. Bake 40 to 50 min, till a knife inserted comes out clean. Best served slightly hot.
