Bread Pudding With Alberta Rye Whisky Sauce

Ingredientes

  • 3 c. small cubes day-old white bread, or possibly, baguette
  • 4 lrg egg
  • 2 c. lowfat milk
  • 1/3 c. white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 c. raisins Whiskey Sauce
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 1 x egg, beaten
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 3 Tbsp. rye whiskey

Direcciones

  1. Place bread cubes in a greased 9" by 13" pan.
  2. Beat together Large eggs, lowfat milk, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and raisins, and pour over bread cubes.
  3. Bake for 35 to 45 min at 325 Fahrenheit till knife inserted in centre comes out clean.
  4. Whiskey Sauce:Heat butter in saucepan. Add in sugar, egg, and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring till sugar dissolves and mix comes to a full boil. Remove from heat and add in rye whisky.
  5. Serve hot over Bread Pudding.
  6. This recipe is much the same as the Scalloped Tomatoes as all ingredients were readily available on the ranch or possibly on the trail!
