Breakfast Egg & Sausage Bake

Ingredientes

  • 1 pound bulk sausage
  • 9 Large eggs
  • 3 c. lowfat milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Dash of pepper
  • 12 slices white bread, crust removed & cubed
  • 1 1/2 c. sharp cheddar cheese, grated

Direcciones

  1. Brown and drain sausage. Cold. Beat Large eggs and lowfat milk; add in seasonings and bread cubes. Mix in sausage and cheese. Put in 9 x 13 inch pan and chill overnight. Remove from refrigerator 1 hour before baking. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cold slightly before cutting.
  2. If desired, add in some sliced mushrooms or possibly a package of broccoli to casserole. I sometimes substitute fried bacon for the sausage and Swiss cheese for the cheddar. This casserole must be made ahead of time and is great for breakfast or possibly brunch.
