Broccoli And Walnut Sauce

Ingredientes

  • 500 gm Broccoli, (1lb)
  • 25 gm Butter, (1oz)
  • 1 sm Onion, minced
  • 150 gm Full-fat soft cheese with garlic and, cubed (5z) herbs
  • 300 ml Lowfat milk, (1/2 pint)
  • 75 gm Walnut pcs, (3oz) Salt and pepper Freshly grated parmesan cheese, to serve

Direcciones

  1. Trim the broccoli.
  2. Separate the heads into florets and thinly slice the stalks.
  3. Heat the butter in a heavy based saucepan and gently fry the onion for 5 min.
  4. Add in the broccoli and cook for 5 min.
  5. Stir in the cheese and lowfat milk and stir till the cheese melts and the sauce thickens.
  6. Taste and adjust the seasoning.
  7. Remove the pan from the heat and toss the sauce with freshly cooked pasta and the walnuts.
  8. Serve with grated parmesan.
  9. NOTES : Try this sauce with farfalle.
