Broccoli With Onion Jack Sauce

Ingredientes

  • 2 Tbsp. butter or possibly margarine
  • 1 lrg onion, coarsely minced (2 c.)
  • 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 c. lowfat milk
  • 1 c. shredded Monterey jack cheese (4 ounces) Salt and grnd pepper, to taste
  • 3 lb fresh broccoli, cut up

Direcciones

  1. Heat butter in medium saucepan over medium heat. Add in onion and cook till tender, about 8 min. Stir in flour. Add in lowfat milk; cook and stir for several min till sauce thickens and comes to a boil. Stir in cheese till it melts; season with salt and pepper. Meanwhile, cook broccoli till tender-crisp. Drain well. Place broccoli in shallow serving dish and top with onion sauce.
