Broiled Broccoli

• 1 lb broccoli spears
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
• 1 minced garlic clove
• 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
• sea salt and fresh ground pepper to taste

Move oven rack to the upper mild position. Set oven to broil. Line a cookie sheet with heavy duty aluminum foil.

Lightly steam your broccoli, then toss it with the other ingredients. Spread the broccoli onto the cooking sheet and broil until caramelized.
