Receta Broiled Tomatoes With Blue Cheese

- Pre-hot the oven to broil.
- De-stem each tomato and cut into slices about 2 inches thick. Place the tomato slices on a broiler pan as you work.
- In a small mixing bowl, blend together the sugar, basil, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle a bit of the mix on top of each tomato slice, then slip the pan under a warm broiler for about 2 min.
- Meanwhile, add in the bread crumbs to the melted butter and toss lightly with a fork to coat. Add in the blue cheese to the mix and toss again.
- Spoon the mix on top of the tomato slices and broil for just a minute or possibly so, till the bread crumbs are lightly browned. Serve immediately.
