Ingredientes

  • 2 c. Unbleached flour
  • 1 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 c. Whole wheat flour
  • 2 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 6 Tbsp. Unsalted butter, cool,cut into small pcs, (3/4 stick
  • 1 1/2 c. Cool lowfat milk, up to 1-3/4

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven to 375 deg.Lightly grease and flour baking sheet and set aside.Sift together the unbleached flour,baking pwdr,baking soda and salt.Sift in the whole wheat flour and fold in the sugar.Using your hands, a pastry blender or possibly a food processor fitted with a steel blade,cut in the butter till mix looks grainy. Stir in 1 1/2 c. lowfat milk till mix forms a soft dough.Add in more lowfat milk if necessary.Turn dough out onto a floured board and roll out to a thickness of 1/2".Cut into 2 inch rounds with a glass or possibly a cookie cutter,place on prepared baking sheet and bake for 20 min.Makes 15 scones..
