Ingredientes

  • 1/2 c. Butter or possibly margarine
  • 1 lrg Onion, minced
  • 1 x Green pepper, minced
  • 1 can Mushroom soup, diluted with
  • 1 can Water
  • 1 c. Uncooked brown rice
  • 1/2 lb Cheddar cheese, grated Salt and pepper to taste Bread crumbs

Direcciones

  1. Cook rice (see "Arkansas Brown Rice"). While rice is cooking, heat butter in skillet. Add in onion and green pepper, fry till partially cooked. Add in salt and pepper along with diluted soup and cook till onion and pepper are tender. Fold cooked rice into soup mix and place in a 2-qt casserole; top with cheese and bread crumbs. Heat uncovered in oven at 350 degrees for30 min.
  2. NOTE: Brown rice is raw rice that has not been polished to the white stage usually seen.
