No not the country famous for Beer, Diamonds and Waffles, but a rather a tested method to make anyone eat Brussel Sprouts. Serve as a side to steak, chicken piccata, or just over steamed rice. Provided and tested by my good friend Brian Bedrosian.

Ingredientes

  • 1 lb smaller Brussels sprouts, cleaned, trimmed, left whole
  • 1/2 large yellow onion, slivered
  • 1/4 cup (or less) olive oil
  • 1/4 - 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 TBSP soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water

Direcciones

  1. Sauté onions and Brussels until browned
  2. Add salt, pepper, garlic power and mix
  3. Add soy and water and mix
  4. Cover and steam for 5 mins on low heat
  5. Remove from heat let stand covered for 5 mins.

        What a fantastic way to prepare! I made Brussels Sprouts this week for the first time.. used balsamic vinegar and shaved extra sharp white cheddar after I roasted them in the oven with EVOO and lemon pepper.

        Gotta try this recipe, though!

                          Looks fast, easy, delicious and has Brussels sprouts. Thats all I need in a vegie dish. I'll try this out this weekend.
