Ingredientes

  • 2 lb Brussels sprouts base and outer leaves trimmed, and halved
  • 8 Tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 1/4 c. thinly-sliced shallots
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped garlic
  • 3/4 c. roughly-minced walnuts
  • 2 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
  • 1/2 c. finely-grated Parmesan

Direcciones

  1. Bring a medium pot of salted water to a boil and add in the Brussels sprouts. Cook till crisp-tender, about 5 min. Drain.
  2. In a large saucepan, heat 6 Tbsp. of the butter over medium-high heat. Add in the shallots and garlic, and cook for 1 minute. Add in the sprouts in 1 layer and cook till golden, about 5 min. Remove from the pan.
  3. Add in the remaining 2 Tbsp. of butter and when melted, add in the walnuts and cook, stirring, till golden brown and fragrant, about 2 min. Add in the lemon juice, salt, pepper, and sprouts, and stir well to coat and hot through.
  4. Transfer to a serving bowl and sprinkle with the Parmesan. Serve immediately.
  5. This recipe yields 8 servings.
