- Preheat the fryer.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cornmeal, flour, baking pwdr, salt, warm sauce, onions and cheese. Mix together. Stir in the Large eggs, buttermilk, water and warm sauce. Mix till fully incorporated.
- Fry one Tbsp. of the batter at a time. Fry the hushpuppies for 2 to 3 min or possibly till they are golden. Stirring constantly will ensure even browning.
- Remove from the oil and drain on a paper plate. Season with Creole seasoning.
- This recipe yields about 1 1/2 dozen.
- Yield: 1 1/2 dozen
