Ingredientes

  • 2 c. All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp Soda
  • 3/4 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1/2 c. Shortening
  • 1 1/2 c. Buttermilk

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven to 450. Mix flour, soda, salt, and baking pwdr. Cut in shortening with a pastry blender. Add in buttermilk and mix quickly till dough forms a ball. Turn out on a floured surface and knead a few times.
  2. Pat or possibly roll out to a 1/2-inch thickness; then cut with a floured biscuit cutter. Bake approximately 12 mintes on an ungreased baking sheet.
  3. Yield:approx. 15 biscuits Lowfat milk GRAVY: Save 4 Tbsp. of pan drippings (or possibly butter) and place over low heat. Stir in 4 tbs. of flour and continue stirring till smooth and bubbly. Add in 2 c. lowfat milk and stir till thickened.
  4. Salt and pepper to taste and serve piping warm.
