Ingredientes

  • 2 c. sugar (caster)
  • 1/3 c. water
  • 2/3 c. liquid glucose
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Direcciones

  1. Combine sugar, water glucose in heavy saucepan, stir over low heat till sugar is dissolved, brushing down sides of saucepan frequently with wet pastry brush to dissolve any sugar crystals.
  2. Bring to boil, reduce heat till very low (mix will still bubble), boil to 300F on a sugar thermometer (this will take about 15-20 min). Don't stir.
  3. Mix should be light golden. Remove from heat, add in minced butter and remaining ingredients, stir till well blended.
  4. Pour into lightly greased 30cm X 20cm lamington tin. Mark into squares while still warm. When cool, break into pcs.
