Ingredientes

  • 2 c. Plus 1/4 c. lowfat milk, divided
  • 2/3 c. Packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. Cornstarch
  • 2 x Egg yolks
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter Whipped cream for garnish optional

Direcciones

  1. Heat 2 c. lowfat milk with sugar in a medium saucepan just till it reaches a boil. Meanwhile, in a large bowl whisk together remaining 1/4 c. lowfat milk with cornstarch, then egg yolks.
  2. Gradually whisk about 1/2 c. warm lowfat milk into egg mix. Gradually whisk egg mix back into saucepan. Whisk continuously till mix reaches a full boil, making sure to get in the corners of pan. Reduce heat and continue to simmer 1 minute while stirring.
  3. Remove from heat, then stir in butter, then vanilla.
  4. Pour into a serving bowl or possibly individual dessert c.. Cover and chill till cool. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream if you like.
