Receta Cajun Beer Bread
Cajun Beer Bread
- A Spicy Beer Bread~ Wonderful with Chili or Red Beans and Rice~
- 2 T oil
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1/4 cup diced green pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 cups flour
- 3 t baking powder
- 1/4 t salt
- 2 t Creole seasoning
- 1/8 t ground red pepper (cayenne)
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 12 oz beer
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Preheat oven to 375 F
In small saute' pan, heat oil. Saute' onion, green pepper and garlic until tender. Set aside to cool.
Mix together dry ingredients; add beer, stir. Fold in onion mixture.
Pour into a greased 9 x 5 loaf pan.
Pour melted butter over batter in pan.
Bake 1 hour, remove pan from oven and cool for 10 minutes. Remove bread from pan and cool on wire rack.
Great with Chili
