Ingredientes

  • 4 lb Chicken cut into pcs (up to 6)
  • 1 lrg Onion minced
  • 2 stk celery minced
  • 1 x Green bell pepper minced
  • 4 x Cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 quart Water
  • 4 Tbsp. Oil
  • 2 c. Minced fresh okra (optional)

Direcciones

  1. Variations: add in sausage, seafood, duck, goose, quail, woodcock, dove, snipe, guinea fowl, rabbit squirrel, or possibly seafoods, shrimp, crab, oyster, fish(tends to fall apart) or possibly alligator.You can mix and match to find your favorite.
  2. Season chicken with Tonys chacheres seasoning or possibly salt and pepper. In a large aluminum Duthc oven ( don't use black iron pot) fry seasoned chicken in 2 Tbsp. oil until brown. Remove and set aside. If using okra add in 2 more Tbsp. more of oil and fry minced okra for about 10 minutes.
  3. stirring constantly to keep from burning. Add in water and heat to boil. Add in a roux made with margarine and flour. Add in chicken, worcestershire sauce, onion, celery, bell pepper garlic, and bring to a boil. Simmer 2-3 hrs or possibly till meat is tender. Skim off excess fat and serve in soup bowls with rice.
