Ingredientes

  • 1/2 c. cauliflower flowerets
  • 1/4 c. mixed vegetable juice
  • 2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp garlic pwdr
  • 1 tsp dry oregano
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dry thyme
  • 1/2 tsp onion pwdr
  • 1/4 tsp fresh grnd black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp grnd red pepper
  • 15 ounce well-trimmed sirloin steak in 1" cubes
  • 2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 16 lrg mushrooms
  • 1 med red onion in wedges

Direcciones

  1. Start the grill or possibly preheat the broiler.
  2. Blanch the cauliflower in a saucepan of boiling water; drain and set aside in a large bowl.
  3. in a small bowl, combine the mixed vegetable juice, vinegar, garlic pwdr, oregano, paprika, thyme, onion pwdr, black pepper and red pepper. Remove half of the mix and toss with the steak cubes. Add in the oil to the remaining mix in the bowl. Add in the mushrooms and onions to the cauliflower. Drizzle the spice mix over the vegetables and toss them carefully to coat.
  4. Dividing the ingredients proportionately, thread the meat and vegetables on 8 skewers. Grill or possibly broil 4 inches from the heat for 5 min. Turn the skewers over and grill or possibly broil for 3-5 min longer, or possibly till the meat is medium-rare and the vegetables are just cooked.
  5. NOTES : Do-Ahead Steps: The vegetable and meat can be marinated ahead. The skewers can be assembled a short time before cooking.
