Ingredientes

  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dry thyme
  • 2 lb beef stew meat
  • 3 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 c. fresh apple cider
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
  • 1 lrg bay leaf
  • 4 x carrots, sliced
  • 3 x potatoes, quartered, sliced
  • 2 x onions, sliced
  • 1 x celery stalk, sliced
  • 1 x apple, sliced

Direcciones

  1. Combine flour, salt, pepper, and thyme in a bowl. Toss the stew beef into the flour mix. Brown with extra virgin olive oil in a Dutch oven. Stir in cider, water, and cider vinegar. Bring to a boil. Add in bay leaf. Simmer meat till tender.
  2. Add in balance of ingredients and cook till the vegetables are tender.
  3. Servings: 6
  4. Preparation Time: 2 hrs
  5. This can be a meal in itself. The beef can be precooked at home. You should finish the stew over a bed of coals on the campfire.
