Can't Miss Baking Powder Biscuits

Ingredientes

  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon soda
  • 1 T sugar
  • 1/3 c. butter
  • 3/4 c. buttermilk

Direcciones

  1. In a large bowl, stir together flour, baking pwdr, salt, soda and sugar; blend thoroughly.2. Cut butter into chunks, add in to bowl, rub mix together with fingers or possibly fork till its uniformly crumbly.
  2. Pour in lowfat milk, stir with fork till dough clings together in a ball.
  3. Turn onto flour dusted board, knead about 10 turns.
  4. Place dough in a greased 9 or possibly 10 inch round or possibly square pan or possibly fry pan (oven safe). Cut with a dusted biscuit cutter, leaving scraps in place.
  5. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 min or possibly till golden. Serve hot with honey and butter or possibly jam! Yum!
  6. Or possibly add in 1 tsp lemon juice to 3/4 cup regular lowfat milk, stir, wait a couple min.
