Receta Canadian Coleslaw
by Veronica Gantley

I call this Canadian coleslaw because the first time I had it my Uncle Edwin made it.

It really is more of a northern recipe than a southern one.

It goes real well with the slow cooker pork sandwiches.

Now putting coleslaw on your pork sandwich really is a southern thing. However, this slaw goes really well with the pork.

What is particularly good about this coleslaw is that it has no vinegar so it is not tart. It has more of a creamy sweet taste to it.

Although it does go well with pork it would go well with just about anything.

Canadian Coleslaw

1 medium head of cabbage (red or green)

1 medium sweet onion

1 cup of miracle whip or more to taste

2 tablespoons season salt or to taste.

Slice cabbage thinly, or do as I did and buy the preshredded stuff. Chop onions and add all the other ingredients to a large bowl. Mix to combine. Taste to adjust seasonings to your taste. Sprinkle with poppy seeds before serving.

Peace be with you,

Veronica
