Capirotada O Sopa (Bread Pudding)

Ingredientes

  • 3/4 c. Sugar
  • 2 c. Boiling water
  • 1/2 c. Maple syrup
  • 6 slc Toasted bread, buttered and cut into 1 inch pcs
  • 3/4 c. Raisins (150 gm)
  • 1 c. Grated sharp cheddar cheese (1 pkt nilgiris cheddar)

Direcciones

  1. Place sugar in a heavy pan. Stir sugar, at low heat, till it is liquified and light, golden.
  2. Add in water and stir constantly till sugar is dissolved. Add in syrup and simmer for 2-3 min.
  3. Layer bread, raisins, and cheese in a 1 1/2 qt buttered casserole dish. Pour warm syrop over mix and top with cheese.
  4. Cover dish and bake in a 350F oven for 20-30 min.
