Capsicum Spring Onion Chutney Recipe
A simple and delicious side dish for Idli or Dosa.
Ingredients:
- Green Capsicums – 2, finely chopped
- Spring Onions – 2 cups, finely chopped
- Green Chillies – 2, finely chopped
- Ginger – 1/2 inch piece, peeled, finely chopped
- Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
- Peppercorns – 1 tsp
- Garlic – 4 cloves
- Lemon Juice – 2 tsp
- Oil – 2 tsp
- Salt as per taste
Method:
1. Heat little oil in a pan over medium flame.
2. Add the capsicum, spring onions, green chillies, ginger, cumin seeds, peppercorns and garlic.
3. Stir-fry for a minute or two.
4. Remove and transfer to a mixer jar.
5. Add salt and lemon juice.
6. Grind to a smooth paste.
7. Serve with idli or dosa.
