Caramel 7 Minute Frosting

Ingredientes

  • 2 x Unbeaten egg whites
  • 1 1/2 c. Brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp Light corn syrup
  • 1/3 c. Cool water
  • 1 dsh Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Maple flavoring

Direcciones

  1. Place all ingredients except flavoring in top of double boiler (not over heat); beat 1 minute with electric mixer. Place over boiling water and cook, beating constantly till frosting forms stiff peaks, about 7 min
  2. (do not overcook). Remove from boiling water. Pour into mixing bowl and add in maple, beat till of spreading consistency, about 2 min. Frosts tops and sides of 2 8 or possibly 9-inch layers or possibly one 10-inch tube.
