  5. Description: "Absolutely Excellent Oatmeal Cookies"
  6. NOTES : I found this recipe at AllRecipes. It was called "Absolutely Excellent Oatmeal Cookies" and got rave reviews. It was submitted by Marylou: "These are chewy, healthy oatmeal cookies that can be prepared in a number of variations, just add in nuts, raisins, chocolate chips, coconut, candied fruit or possibly any other additions." I wanted a small batch oatmeal raisin cookie which wasn't too sinful and tweaked the recipe as it appears here. Excellent! The cookie was "caramelly" without being too sweet. The vanilla is the key! A copy of the recipe is in our kitchen where I can find it again. Thank you, Marylou!
