Ingredientes

  • 1 x recipe Caramelized Onions (see recipe)
  • 1 can beef consomme - (10 1/2 ounce) undiluted
  • 1 can beef broth - (10 1/2 ounce) undiluted
  • 2 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp dry thyme
  • 1/4 c. dry white wine
  • 6 c. large croutons
  • 1 c. shredded Swiss cheese - (4 ounce)

Direcciones

  1. Combine first 5 ingredients in a 3 1/2-qt slow cooker. Cook, covered, at HIGH 2 1/2 hrs or possibly till thoroughly heated. Stir in wine.
  2. Ladle soup into 6 ovenproof bowls, and top proportionately with croutons and cheese. Place bowls on a jellyroll pan.
  3. Broil 3 inches from heat (with electric oven door partially open) 5 min or possibly till cheese is melted. Serve immediately.
