Ingredientes

  • 2 lb venison grnd
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp caraway seed
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. salad oil or possibly nonstick spray
  • 2 c. sauerkraut well liquid removed (2 to 3 c.)
  • 3 lrg apples cut in wedges
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 c. apple juice

Direcciones

  1. In large bowl, combine grnd venison, onions, salt, 1 teaspoon caraway seeds, and pepper; shape into about 20 meatballs.
  2. In large skillet over medium high heat, in warm oil, brown meatballs well.
  3. In a 3 qt casserole, spread a layer of sauerkraut with 1 teaspoon caraway seeds. Next put a layer of apples, sprinkle with brown sugar; top with meatballs. Pour apple juice over meatballs; cover; bake 1 hour or possibly till meatis cooked.
  4. With the nonstick spray, this is about 23% fat.
