Ingredientes

  • 10 c. Popped popcorn (about 3/4 c. unpopped kernels)
  • 1 c. Dry roasted peanuts (or possibly your choice of nuts)
  • 1 c. Brown sugar, packed
  • 3/4 c. Butter (NO SUBSTITUTES)
  • 1/4 c. Light corn syrup
  • 1/4 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Direcciones

  1. Combine popped popcorn and peanuts in a large roasting pan; keep hot in a 300 oven while preparing syrup.
  2. Combine brown sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt in a heavy 2 qt saucepan. Bring to boiling over medium heat, stirring almost constantly.
  3. Boil gently over entire surface for 5 min, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat; stir in baking soda. Pour over popcorn and peanuts. Mix well.
  5. Bake in a 300 oven for 20 min, stirring once after 15 min.
  6. Immediately spread out popcorn mix on a large piece of foil; cold completely. Break into cluster. Store tightly covered.
  7. Makes about 11cups.
