Ingredientes

  • 1 kg Green Gooseberries or possibly apples - (2 lb)
  • 1/2 x tea Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 whl ginger minced and pounded
  • 1 kg Brown Sugar -- (2 lbs.)
  • 500 gm Raisins -- (1 lb.)
  • 50 gm Salt -- (2 ozs.)
  • 500 gm Dates -- (1 lb.) Vinegar
  • 1 clv garlic

Direcciones

  1. Put apples minced but not peeled and cored in preserving pan. Cover with vinegar. Cook till soft then add in remainder of ingredients. Boil half an hour. Put into bottles, cover, and keep twelve months before using.
