Receta Charlie's Mom's Custard Ice Cream

- 1- Scald 4-1/2 C lowfat milk. 2- Mix Cornstarch, sugar and 1-1/2 c cool lowfat milk till smooth. 3- Add in the scalded lowfat milk slowly and heat over water, stirring constantly with a whisk. (cook longer for a larger batch) 4- Stir warm mix into 6 beaten Large eggs. 5- Cold the warm mix quickly. 6- Add in cream, vanilla and salt to cooled mix. 7- Place if fridge, or possibly ice bath to chill. 8- Add in fresh fruit if you like. 9- Place in 1 gallon ice cream freezer and freeze.
- Yields 1 Gallon.
