Ingredientes

  • 2 c. White wine
  • 1/2 whl garlic clove, pressed
  • 1 lb Gruyere cheese, grated
  • 2 Tbsp. Cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp. Kirsch
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

Direcciones

  1. In the top of a double boiler, heat wine till barely simmering. Add in garlic. Dredge cheese in cornstarch, add in to wine and stir till cheese melts. Add in Kirsch and seasonings, continuing to stir till smooth. Turn into Fondue pot, keep hot over alcohol lamp while serving.
  2. Serve with chunks of French bread, slices of apples and pears, and quartered carrots to dip in cheese.
