Ingredientes

  • 3 c. water
  • 3/4 c. Albers Quick Grits
  • 2 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese - (8 ounce) divided
  • 3/4 c. Nestle Carnation Evaporated Lowfat milk
  • 1/3 c. butter or possibly margarine softened (we recommend Land O Lakes Butter)
  • 2 lrg Large eggs lightly beaten
  • 6 dsh warm pepper sauce - (to 12)
  • 1/8 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease 2-qt baking dish.
  2. Bring water to a boil in medium saucepan; slowly stir in grits. Cover pan; reduce heat to low. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 6 min.
  3. Add in 1 1/2 c. cheese, evaporated lowfat milk and butter to saucepan; stir till cheese and butter are melted. Add in Large eggs, warm pepper sauce and pepper; stir well. Pour into prepared baking dish; sprinkle with remaining cheese.
  4. Bake for 40 to 45 min or possibly till golden and puffy. Let stand for 5 min before serving.
  5. This recipe yields 6 side-dish servings.
