Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 lb lean grnd beef
  • 1 pkt dry pesto sauce mix - (1/2 ounce)
  • 1/2 c. shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 whl -wheat burger buns split
  • 4 x lettuce leaves
  • 4 slc tomato

Direcciones

  1. Heat grill.
  2. In medium bowl, combine grnd beef and pesto sauce mix; mix well. Shape mix into 8 thin patties, 4-inches in diameter. Place 2 Tbsp. cheese on each of 4 patties to within 1/4-inch of edges. Top with remaining patties; healthy pinch edges to seal.
  3. When ready to grill, place patties on gas grill over medium heat or possibly on charcoal grill 4 to 6-inches from medium coals. Cook 11 to 13 min or possibly till patties are thoroughly cooked, turning once.
  4. Meanwhile, place buns, cut-side down, on grill. Cook 1 to 2 min or possibly till buns are lightly toasted. Place lettuce, patties and tomato slices in buns.
  5. This recipe yields 4 burgers.
  6. Serving suggestion: Serve with a marinated vegetable salad from the deli, fresh melon slices and lemonade.
  7. Comments: To broil patties, place on broiler pan; broil 4 to 6 inches from heat using times above as a guide, turning once. Place buns, cut-side up, on broiler pan; broil 1 to 2 min.
