Cherry-Apricot Crumble Bars

Ingredientes

  • 3 cups quick-cooking oats
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 3/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
  • 2/3 cup chopped dried apricots

Direcciones

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F
  2. Line a 13 x 9 inch baking pan with foil, extending the ends of the fofil over the edges of the pan to approximately 2 inches
  3. In a large bowl, combine the oats, flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and the nutmeg
  4. Add the melted butter
  5. Toss to combine
  6. Reserve 1 cup of the crumble mixture
  7. Press the remaining mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  8. Bake until set, about 12 to 14 minutes
  9. In a small bowl, combine the pie filling and the apricots
  10. Gently spread the cherry mixture over the crust
  11. Sprinkle with the reserved 1 cup of the crumble mixture
  12. Bake until lightly browned and bubbly, 30 to 35 minutes
  13. Let cool completely on a wire rack
  14. Remove from the pan by lifting the foil edges
  15. Cut into squares
