Ingredientes

  • 24 x maraschino cherries, undrained
  • 1/2 c. butter or possibly margarine, softened
  • 3/4 c. sifted powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp. half-and-half (or possibly light cream)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract Powdered sugar Cherry Glaze

Direcciones

  1. Drain cherries, reserving 1/4 c. juice for glaze; set aside. Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer till creamy; gradually add in 3/4 c. powdered sugar, beating well. Stir in flour and next 3 ingredients. Shape into 24 balls.
  2. Press each ball around a cherry, covering completely; place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 18 to 20 min. Remove to wire racks to cold completely. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, and drizzle with Cherry Glaze
  3. (recipe follows).
  4. Yield: 2 dozen.
  5. Cherry Glaze2 tbs butter or possibly margarine, melted1 c. sifted powdered sugar1/4 c. reserved cherry juiceRed food coloring (optional)
  6. Combine first 3 ingredients; add in food coloring if you like. Place in a small heavy-duty, zip-top plastic bag; seal. To drizzle, snip a tiny hole at one corner of bag, and gently squeeze bag.
